Program Summary: Inventing is great, but
Corporations are in business to make money. Patents are an important
part of profiting from the hard work of engineers. This seminar gives a
brief overview of the patent system, trends in how patent owners are
using the system, and where engineers/inventors fit in to the program
either at work or as entrepreneurs. In this seminar, you will get some
insight into the patent process that may help you and/or your employer
profit from patents and other intellectual property.
Biography: Michael
T. Konczal, BSEE has been practicing law for 15 years and has been
writing patents for going on 7. His practice has focused on the
technology areas of: analog and digital electronics; wireless; oil well
tools; and occasional other odds and ends.
There is no membership requirement to attend this meeting.
