Widespread adoption of digital technology is transforming our lives.  This Keynote provides a snapshot of the top technologies from all walks of life including:

·          Consumer networks

·          Automotive entertainment and information

·          Security and rights management

 

The Keynote draws upon the experience in building telecom and high-technology businesses at Nortel Networks, Perot Systems, Sabre and Fannie Mae.

 

Resume Summary:  

Hemant K. Sabat is the General Manager of Telecom and High-Technology Business Unit at Perot Systems Corporation.  He serves as an Industry Advisor to telecommunications company boards in the U.S., the U.K. and Canada, and has been an Industry Keynote Speaker in the U.S. and Europe on how to transform and build next-generation telecom businesses.  He has been invited to be a member of six Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) review boards. 

 

Earlier, as a business leader at Nortel Networks, Sabre and Fannie Mae, Hemant:

  • Led the transformation of a $6 billion telecom business during the last recession;
  • Built seven next-generation telecom businesses worth over $2 billion;
  • Executed programs that generated over $1 billion revenue;
  • Built a $10 million global supply chain with a 35% operating margin in six months; and
  • Reengineered a $15 million IT supply chain. 

 

This business leadership is the basis of his IPRs that have received over 200 recognitions and citations globally, and have been published by the world’s largest media companies as best practices, and incorporated in several MBA curricula in the U.S. and the U.K. 

 

Hemant has served as a Visiting Professor in the University of Dallas MBA program as well.  He received a national award from the President of India in 1992.  Hemant graduated first in the University magna cum laude with Bachelor and Master of Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (India), and received his MBA with two majors, two minors and three Certifications from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

 

A former tennis and field hockey professional, Hemant has hiked six 20,000-foot peaks in the Himalayas in 15 days, won a 20-mile mountain marathon and is proficient in seven languages.
