Program Summary:  “Wireless Connectivity in Hand held Mobile CE devices”.

As wireless devices become smaller, less expensive and consume lower power, the technology is rapidly being integrated into PDAs, Mobile phones and personal media players. The presentation will review the market, technology and key success factors that will allow the continued proliferation of wireless into consumer devices.

 

Resume Summary:   Frank Ferro

Francis (Frank) Ferro is the Director of Marketing at SyChip, Inc., responsible for wireless Voice over IP products.  He joined the company in November 2004 after 22 years with Bell Labs, AT&T, Lucent, and Agere and has worked extensively in the consumer electronics field in the area of cellular phones, cordless phones, media players and smart phones/PDAs.  Mr. Ferro also lived in Japan for five years where he worked closely with large OEMs and ODMs of consumer electronics.

 

Mr. Ferro holds an Executive MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a M.S. in Computer Science as well as a B.S.E.T. in Electronic Engineering Technology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
